HACIENDA SU MERCED.
It is located 15 minutes away from the new Quito’s airport also known as Tababela, 30 minutes away from Quito, and in the gate to the Amazon. Su Merced is the best combination of comfort and warmth framed by the beauty of an ancient farmhouse whose history can be tracked for almost 400 years. This hacienda has 10 rooms with private restroom, each room has it´s own personality, always trying to achieve the perfect environment to their hosts.
HACIENDA MOLINO SAN JUAN.
It is located at 6 kilometers from Cayambe. This hacienda counts with ten rooms with private bathroom and closet. The total capacity is 25 people. Everything began in the year of 1986, transforming the old hydraulic mill of the hacienda in an original and cozy country house. This hacienda offer a cultural and experiential experiences in a place of traditions which combines peace and tranquility in the countryside.
HACIENDA LA CIENEGA.
La Cienega is one of the oldest colonial haciendas in Ecuador, with more than 400 years of antiquity. Located near the slopes of the majestic Cotopaxi volcano and its National Park, this mansion has been the scene of important events in the country’s scientific and social history.
HACIENDA LA CANDELARIA.
This Hacienda is located in La Candelaria town which is 45 km from the city of Riobamba. The hacienda house has 6 guest room with private bathroom. The hacienda offers many activities to enjoy the nature, such as: horse riding, trout reservoir, trekking, cycling, milking process, and cooking classes.

Arrival at Quito´s airport. Depending on your arrival hour, you will be transferred to your hotel in Puembo (town near the airport) or the city of Quito. Overnight (-.-,-).
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel. Our first stop will be at Tabacundo. This town is one hour far away from Quito, and it is named the “Rose Capital” because on the area, there are some rose farms. You will have the opportunity to visit one of this farms where you will see the famous Ecuadorian rose and its entire lifecycle. After this interesting stop, you will visit the lovely Roses show room at Hacienda La Compañia de Jesus. The history of this hacienda dates back to the earliest colonial period (1584), where the first lands where assigned. The property passed to the Jesuit priests in 1690. However, they were expulsed on 1767, and this hacienda came part of different Ecuadorian families.
Later, you will be driven to Otavalo. This town is famous for its weaving, music and culture. The Otavalo´s indigenous community is one of the most prosperous in Ecuador. Nowadays, you find their handicrafts and music all over Ecuador and the world. The town of Otavalo is the heart of their culture, and on the marketplace, you will find all possible souvenirs. One of our stops will be on a nice handicraft workshop which is a woman entrepreneurship. This organization was born with the idea of join women in the artisan work, involving them in the productive force and in the generation of economic resources of their homes. There, you will learn the process from the wool to the finished product. Then, you will have a delicious meal in one typical Andes Hacienda. Pinsaqui is ideally located at the flanks of the Imbabura Volcano and in the heart of Ecuador lake province. This hacienda has three centuries of history. In 1790, this worked as a colonial textile enterprise with thousands of weavers exporting their fabrics to the United States. Today, this Otavalo Hacienda still retains the authenticity from its earlier incarnation and is a unique travel experience. Illustrious historic figures have been hosted through the ages at Hacienda Pinsaqui including the revered liberator of Ecuador, General Simon Bolívar. In the afternoon, you will be driven to Hacienda Molino San Juan. This hacienda rescues, preserves and promotes the recipes of the “Cocina Quiteña” and handles the principles from the garden to your table. You will help the chef with the dinner. You will harvest the products from the farm, and if you like you will be part of an Ecuadorian cuisine class. Overnight. (B,L,D).
This morning, you will be part on the preparation of a typical Cayambe breakfast. Hacienda Molino San Juan is a living testimony of the “wheat milling” culture where their production is the flour. Its adobe walls keep the customs of the traditional corn farm. There, you will have the opportunity to visit the museum and the old windmill. You will see the production of the flour and assist to a small cooking class where the chef will explain you the elaboration of the typical biscuits. These will be served with a hot chocolate and cheese.
Then, you will continue towards the Middle of the World. There, you will find a monument, where you can put one foot in the North Hemisphere and the other foot on the South Hemisphere. Just outside the Middle of the World, there is an interesting open-air museum called Inti-Ñan. It explains the solar system, the effect of the equator position has on gravity; and Ecuadorian ancient cultures and their peculiarities. After this worth visit, you will have a walking tour through downtown Quito, one of the most beautiful and historical cities in South America, which was declared by UNESCO a “World Cultural Heritage”. You will start the tour visiting the colonial center, the Legislative Palace, the Independence Plaza, the Caron¬delet Palace (Government Palace), the Metropolitan Cathedral, “La Compañía” and “San Francisco” churches. Later, you will be driven to “El Panecillo” where you will have the best views of Quito and the surrounding snowcapped volcanoes. Finally, you will be driven southwards passing the town of Lasso. You will be driven by a private transport towards the Volcano Avenue. The first stop will be the Cotopaxi National Park, this natural reserve lies at the foot of the world’s highest active snow-capped volcano (5897 m.). You will continue your way into the park and stop at the Limpiopungo Lake at 3800 meters, here you can make an acclimatizing walk while observing semi-wild horses, a variety of ducks and hummingbirds and the Andean gull and lapwing. On clear days, you have the most incredible views up here. Enjoy the incredible pictures opportunities and the spectacular scenery at walls of ice and deep crevasses.
Then, you will visit one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Ecuador, “El Pailon del Diablo”, which is located through the “Waterfall Route”. Baños is the entrance of the Amazon region and the temperature is already change after 15 minutes. You will visit the Agoyán waterfall; the ports of heaven, “Manto de la novia” (the veil of the bride) waterfall and San Pedro tarabita. Baños has a nice center to stroll around, look for souvenirs, or simply enjoy a delicious meal in one of its many restaurants. This marvellous town has also healthy thermal baths to relax. In the late afternoon, you will be driven to Hacienda La Candelaria which is located 33 km away from the city of Riobamba, in the area of influx of Sangay National Park. Overnight. (B,L,D)

La Candelaria offer, as well, horseback riding. All the rides begin at the hacienda. The rides take place around the farm. The tourists will have the opportunity to see native people working in their land. It is 2800 meters above sea level.

Early in the morning, you will be transferred to Alausi train station where your adventure begins. Several plans were made to build the railway from Guayaquil to Quito, since 1860 until 1874, this project was called at that time “the most difficult railway built in the world” because the tracks reached a huge obstacle, an almost perpendicular wall of rock, called the “Devil´s Nose”. Many lives were shed in the building of what until now is called a masterpiece of railway engineering: a zig-zag carved out of the rock, which allows the train, by advancing and backing up, to reach the necessary height to the town of Alausi.
Then, you will be driven to Guayaquil. This is a populous city in Ecuador; and the nation’s main port. We suggest you to visit the Malecon 2000 which is a restoration project of the historic Simon Bolivar Pier. It will be a symbolic center of the city, a mix of green areas and shopping. Other nice place to visit is Las Peñas Neighborhood in the northeast corner of the city’s center. This place is the artistic center of the city. Many 400-year-old houses on this area have been converted into art galleries and several notable artists have studios there. Overnight. (B,L,D)
