Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival at the airport in Tababela at 3500 meters, transfer to Casona de Campo Tabaleba where you can enjoy the tranquility of the place and above all rest and prepare for the adventure. (-, -, BD)

Day 2

Transfer to the province of Imbabura with our guide who will accompany us throughout this adventure, the first point to visit will be the Quitsato Project where we will be explained about the ancestral wisdom and how the tribes used the knowledge of the solstices.
After a beautiful view from the viewpoint we can see the valley of Tabacundo, known worldwide for its beautiful export roses, a little further on we can taste the cakes of Cayambe and the milk delicacy.
Upon entering the Province of Imbabura, the colossus of the same name, the TAITA, will welcome us and give us the first landscape since at its feet rests Lake San Pablo.
To continue we will visit the famous Plaza de los Ponchos to learn a little more about this famous place.
For the beginning of our adventure we will know the Zuleta farm that is on charge of the Lasso Family (former president of Ecuador) who promoted the development of this region.
Here we will have lunch and proceed to our first adaptation horseback riding through the paddocks of the hacienda to Rinconada del Valle de San Pedro, where we will know more about this project and we can if we are lucky to see the Condor fly or see the spectacled bear’s footprints.
We will also have the opportunity to know very closely the pyramids of the Caranqui culture.
Here if we have more confidence you can gallop and enjoy the famous horse cross that gave birth to Zuleteños horses.

Day 3

After breakfast we will have our first cavalcade challenge with a tour of the valley landscape and ride through the mountains, we will see people in their daily tasks and we will have the opportunity to know the Cusín farm that was built in the 17th century and that It conserves its colonial style as well as the most beautiful garden of the surroundings.
Perfect place to serve us lunch that is prepared with the products of the area and relax walking among its gardens.
We will start the way back and we will have the opportunity to gallop in good sections.

Day 4

After breakfast, we will go to know the province of Pichincha and its most emblematic points, to start the Middle of the World for photos in different hemispheres.
Before entering the old part of the city, we will have a Cooking Class to enjoy a typical dish of this city.
Then we will visit the old part of the city to visit its churches covered with gold bread and sculptures from the Quiteña school.
To end the afternoon, we will leave the bustle of the city for our inn in the countryside to La Alegría, where we will rest and get ready for our next adventure.

Day 5

We will have a breakfast to start the adventure, now with a higher altitude you can see the surroundings some of the volcanoes that make up the Avenue of the volcanoes and what better to do about some faithful companions of this hacienda, to begin we will make a trip to the Widow or the Heart Volcano, after a look at the mountains and we have taken confidence in our horse return to lunch at the hacienda and perform some typical activities in a hacienda as order, feed the animals, harvest organic products Rest and a delicious dinner (B, L, D)

Day 6

The adventure begins as we will climb up to 4000 meters to overcome the mountains and begin to descend to the cloud forest where biodiversity is incredible, the possibilities of seeing unique species are very large, from plants to birds of the sector, after 6 hours of a unique trip, we will have a delicious Box Lunch on the route, and to take pictures for the memory, we will arrive at the La Bomboli farm to enjoy the fireplace and a good coffee, accompanied by the sounds of nature.
We will have dinner and proceed to rest.

Day 7

Return to the mountains but before we will enjoy a talk about the different species of this climatic floor and we will begin the return by the old path of Garcia Moreno, which will take us to the plains of Aloag to end with a delicious lunch at the hacienda.
Finally, we will go to Hacienda El Porvenir to enjoy the Spa Apu and a well-deserved rest.
Another dinner in the heat of the fireplace and the light of the candles.

Day 8

Now the challenge is to enjoy the Cotopaxi volcano for this we will have to cross through land of wild bulls that have almost no contact with humans, of course this with the company of the famous chagras that with their screams will scare the evil spirits of the mountain and the bulls from the surrounding area.
As a reward and if Cotopaxi allows us to see it in all its splendor as well as enjoy a delicious box lunch while we are in the best spot of Andean paramo.
Returning to the hacienda we will enjoy time to ride through the plains of the Cotopaxi.
Farewell dinner and a glass of wine to celebrate the great adventure.
