Day 1
Quito-El Carmen-Cojimies

Early morning you will be picked up from the hotel in Quito, then you will begin your journey across Manabí culinary landscape with a tasting of the famous Bolon and black coffee in a small town called El Carmen. After this first tasting we will take you to Pedernales – Cojimies, this is one of the best agriculture and fishing zone of the province. For lunch you will eat a special dish of Manabí, called Viche this a is a wonderful thick soup made with carrots, green peas, grated green banana, peanuts, herbs and fish,  all products are fresh from the sea and from a group of small-scale producers.  After this soup you have time to rest at the beach and appreciate the unique view. That night you will enjoy a delicious dinner featuring traditional dishes at Cocosolo restaurant, the people that works here are local and they cook based on their grandma’s recipes.(We are triying to rescue all this traditional cooking secrets). The dinner also includes a degustation of smoked cheese and smoked fish. These products are completely handmade,so we ensure that you will eat the best ancestral meal in this restaurant. Overnight  at Cojimies (B,L,D)

Day 2
Cojimies-Coaque-Tasaste-Cojimies

After a traditional Manaba breakfast, you will go to visit Coaque,a small community where you will share the morning with lovely people and also they will cook for you and show you their special and delicious dish called ceviche, made with oysters and jaiba. In this locality you will be able to learn about the artisanal fishing culture wich involves history and passion. This town is located at 0º latitude and this fact makes this town even more magic. In the afternoon you will continue this culinary adventure to Tasaste (with its unique Love Arch). Tasaste is a small eco- beach on the Ecuadorian coast, here you will have time to walk at the beach and share some time with the local people. During this time you will eat a variety of seafood,including their specialty, the famous Guatita de Ostion, the food will be prepared by local womens. This experience will be an unforgettable delight to your senses. Then you will return to Cocosolo for overnight.(B,L,D)

Day 3
Quito – Otavalo

Following a creole breakfast at the hotel, you will start another spectacular experience which includes fishing and a cooking class. The special fact of this cooking class is the place because the food will be prepared in front of the mangrove. The local people will show you how they spend a day on the mangrove, fishing the food for the lunch. Afterwards, you will learn about the popular Fogon Manabita, a type of ancestral stove which the locals used to cook the creole food. In this tour you will see, smell, taste, and experience the infinite variety of textures, colors, aromas, and flavors produced by the beautiful province of Manabí.
You will complete your tour of Manabí, on the way back to Quito with a degustation of the famous handmade cheese and bread in El Carmen. (B,L,D)
