Arcoiris Jungle Lodge is located in Amazonia, one of the most picturesque parts of Ecuador on the banks of river Napo, which is the affluent of the most full-flowing river of the world Amazon. Arcoiris Jungle Lodge and can be reached in one hour by motor canoe from the town of Francisco de Orellana (El Coca). Our most comfortable bungalows are placed on the Napo riverbank on a high hill covered with jungle. We did our best to keep the atmosphere of a virgin forest, the great tranquility of the selva and the untouched nature so rare and thus precious nowadays.
The resort owns 50 hectares (123 acres) of primary jungle where 10 spacious bungalows are situated. The hotel restaurant, bar, swimming pool and the bungalows are connected with each other by the wooden footpaths, so that even after the shower rains (rainforests are always rainforests) you shall be comfortable in your sandals or slippers on the territory of the hotel.
In order to keep the jungle undisturbed and quiet there is no TV-sets or radio/audio players in the bungalows - quiet music is always on in the bar, though, - but in any place of the hotel you may have an Internet access via Wi-Fi using your own laptop.
Arcoiris Jungle Lodge is the only eco-resort in Ecuador with the super-inclusive board basis. You may leave your cash at home - you will not need it in out hotel. The pre-paid package includes literally everything from the Quito - El Coca - Quito air ticket and to the meals in our restaurant, daily exciting jungle tours and alcoholic beverages in the bar.

Biological reserve of Limoncocha
At 8 am departure for the biological reserve of Limoncocha, which is one of the most beautiful lagoons in the sector. After an hour's boat, we arrive at Pompeii where we land transport and after 15 minutes we arrive at the lagoon. Limoncocha is a biological station that receives visits not only tourists but also environmentalists and scholars from around the world. Here we have identified nearly 500 species of plants and 300 birds. The site offers a wide variety of activities: a guide will show us native plants, birds and other animals. Hike in the jungle until a large “ceibo” tree and a canoe fishing piranhas and, at dusk, we will look at alligators. Back at the Lodge in the afternoon, dinner and open bar.
Monkey Island
After a short journey by boat in the Napo river, we arrive at this island of 110 hectares of rain forest vegetation typical of Amazonia, where natural state living in eight different species of monkeys. We will go over trails of low degree of difficulty with the help of a native guide, who lives on the island taking care to keep intact. He knows and reproduces sounds to attract primates.
We will receive explanation of the jungle and introduced plants, how they grow, and transformed in different uses for everyday life.

Ritual ceremony with Shaman
After dinner, we take the boat to move into an island of sand in Napo River. Here we will take part of a ritual ceremony of cleaning and purification of the soul with a native shaman around a large campfire. This type of ceremony is still practiced within Quichua communities and, guests who want to, they can prove the “ayawska”, traditional hallucinogenic drink made with extract of the plant with the same name.
Daily life of a family of Quichua Community of San Carlos
At 9 am we leave to visit a family of Quichua Community of San Carlos, located on the shore in front of the Lodge within 20 minutes of launch.
We will learn and share the everyday life of an indigenous family: daily activities such as preparation of cassava “chicha”, cultivation of plants for subsistence, manufacture of utensils and handicraft production with materials collected in the jungle.
Rappresentation of a marriage ceremony with indigenous customs and characteristics demonstration of rituals related to marriage: the order of the hand, the presentation of relatives, the role of godparents, the ceremony and party.
Back at the Lodge and lunch.
The swamp of alligators
At 4 pm departure to visit the swamp of alligators, on the other side of the Napo River. We will arrive at the house's owner, who will receive us showing us production techniques of a different type of craft. When darkness is starting, we left for a tour of 20 minutes until the Pantanal, where with the help of traditional wooden canoes and flashlights admire alligators attracted by the sounds emitted by our guide.

Saladero (Salt lick)
Within our territory we have a natural Salt lick, a salt mine where arriving tapirs and other mammals: after spending one day eating leaf and seeds with different flavors and chemicals that left in their mouth a bad taste and quite without sensibility, the animals arrive here to lick the salt from the rock and recover the taste.
To reach this Salt lick we have to walk for an hour and a half, with a degree of difficulty medium. To find the animals we must go at night or the early hours of the morning.
